CHANKUAP FOUNDATION
The Chankuap Foundation works with 970 families from the
Shuar, Achuar and Mestizo communities of the Ecuadorian Amazon, supporting
them in the production and commercialization of craft
and agricultural products, in their natural state and
transformed.
The crafts are made by the able hands
of indigenous artisans from the communities with which we work. Usin traditional techniques
and natural materials like: wood, bejucos, fibers,
clay and seeds that are obtained
directly from the Amazon rainforst, they produce beautiful decorative items,
useful articles for the home or office as well as jewelry (necklaces,
rings, bracelets, earrings), keyrings, purses, and more.
All agricultural production is organic, in
this way helping to conserve the land and the fragile ecosystem of the Amazon.
Among our transformed products we offer essential oils,
spices, infusions and cosmetics.
